Admission Requirements
- A faculty member in the department must agree in writing to serve as the thesis advisor prior to acceptance into the program.
- A bachelor's degree in biological or related sciences from an accredited institution is required.
- An undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 in all completed science and math courses, or a GPA of at least 3.0 in the last 40 semester (60 quarter) units of completed science and math courses is preferred.
- Applicants with a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a non-biological science field may take the GRE Biology Subject Test or MCAT.
- A minimum score in the 50th percentile must be achieved on the GRE Biology Subject Test or MCAT.
- A one-page personal statement is required.
- A CV and three letters of recommendation must be submitted.
