Admission Requirements
- At least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale is required for general admission.
- English proficiency must be demonstrated or conditional admission through the Intensive English Program (IEP) may be requested.
- SAT or ACT scores are required for direct admission to some colleges and majors, and must be sent directly to WVU from the respective testing services.
- Some engineering majors may already be at capacity and may not be open for admissions.
- International students are encouraged to submit SAT or ACT scores for majors other than engineering, but it is not required.
- SAT/ACT scores may be used to determine eligibility for scholarships.
