Admission Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: physics, chemistry, metallurgy, engineering, materials science, or mathematics. Other backgrounds will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Complete an electronic application.
- Submit a statement of purpose.
- Pay the applicable application fee: $65 for Master and Doctoral programs, $20 for Certificate of Graduate Study.
- Provide email addresses for three recommenders, who will submit their letters of recommendation directly through the application portal.
- Submit one transcript from each institution attended, including current institution. Unofficial transcripts are sufficient for most programs. Official transcripts may be requested upon admission.
- Complete and submit a Residential Status Questionnaire.
- If English is not your native language, submit test scores for English proficiency.
