Admission Requirements
- Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for the B.S. degree program or the last two years of coursework for MS program applicants.
- GRE scores must meet a minimum of 300 (1100 on the old 800 point scale) for the combined Verbal + Quantitative sections.
- Preferred applicants will have scores above the 70th percentile in the Quantitative section of the GRE (>155, or >700 on the old 800 point scale).
- Applicants whose native language is not English must take either the TOEFL or IELTS, unless they have completed a BS/MS degree at an English-speaking university.
- Minimum acceptable scores for the TOEFL are 79 for the internet-based test (213 for the computer-based test or 550 for the paper-based test) or 6.5 for the IELTS.
- MS applicants should have relevant research and/or industrial experience.
- An application package must include three letters of recommendation and a statement of purpose.
