- Strong background in the program discipline of interest (biochemistry, molecular biology, entomology, or plant pathology)
- Graduate screening committee, composed of faculty from relevant disciplines, will review all applicants
- Acceptance into program dependent on availability of major professor
- Minimum overall GPA of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale required for admission
- GRE scores not required but may be submitted to offset other components of the application (e.g. low GPA)
