- General Equivalency Diploma (GED) applicants are welcome to enroll at Iowa State University
- Depending on when the GED test was taken, specific scores are required for admission.
- High school core courses must be completed for 5 years.
- A composite ACT score (or converted SAT score) must be at least 3 times.
- Students applying for admission to the College of Engineering must also complete two years of a single foreign language.
- Students applying for admission to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences must complete a third year of social studies and two years of a single foreign language.
- Cumulative GPA must be at least 30.
