- General admission requirements for graduate study as specified in Graduate Admission Policies
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field
- Applicants with a bachelor's degree in other fields of study may be accepted with at least three years of chemistry or biochemistry coursework
- Provisional acceptance may be granted in some cases, with the requirement to complete selected remedial courses
- Departmental evaluation of background through transcripts, résumés, and letters of recommendation
- GRE scores are not required for admission into the program
- Successful completion of remedial courses may not count towards degree requirements.
