Admission Requirements
- To be considered for the Biomedical Engineering program, please ensure the following requirements are met:
- Submit official high school transcripts, to be sent by school counselor or authorized official.
- Complete either the ACT or SAT test.
- Non-native English speakers or those not in an English-medium curriculum may take an English proficiency test (DUOLINGO, IELTS, PTE, TOEFL).
- Submit a one-page personal essay and short essay questions specific to Duke.
- Request three letters of recommendation: one from school counselor and two from teachers in major academic courses (English, mathematics, social studies, sciences, foreign languages).
- Provide a nonrefundable $85 application fee.
- Foreign citizens must show ability to support educational expenses and obtain an F-1 visa through I-20 form from their home country's U.S. consulate.
