Admission Requirements
- A nonrefundable $85 application fee is required.
- Official high school transcripts must be submitted by the school counselor or another school official.
- Applicants must complete either the ACT or SAT.
- Three letters of recommendation are required from a school counselor and two teachers in major academic courses.
- Non-native English speakers or those not studying in an English-medium curriculum may take an English proficiency test (DUOLINGO, IELTS, PTE, TOEFL).
- A one-page personal essay and short essay questions specific to Duke must be submitted.
- To obtain an F-1 visa for study in the United States, proof of ability to meet educational expenses and the I-20 form must be provided to the U.S. consulate in the applicant's home country.
